PoolUP helps you find a group to go with to festivals like Estéreo Picnic, Baum, Cordillera or EDC. You have the ticket or want to go, and you have no one to go with: here we solve that.

How to use PoolUP at a festival

Before: join the event crew

Páramo Presenta is a partner club in the app and appears in the Clubs section on the home screen. Here is how to join one of its events:

1. Log in with your account. Guests without an account can see the events, but the button says "Sign up to join" and does not let them join.
2. Complete your profile if it is missing. Without a complete profile, the app sends you to complete it before you join.
3. On the home screen, scroll down to Clubs and tap the Páramo Presenta card.
4. The club screen opens with two tabs: Calendar (the club's official events) and Club (the community's crews related to the club).
5. Tap the event to open its details.
6. Tap Register.
7. After you join, the button changes to Chat, which opens the event chat. Everything you need to get to the event is arranged there.

During

Agree with your crew in the event chat and meet up at the festival. If you have no signal at the event, use festival mode to talk without signal; your friends must have it active too.

After

Stay in touch with your crew and plan the next one.

Festival mode

Signal often fails at festivals. Festival Mode lets you chat with the people at your event without internet or signal, using Bluetooth between phones.

How to use it:

1. Before the event, while you have internet, open the event chat so the app can get ready.
2. At the festival, tap "Activate Festival Mode" and accept the Bluetooth permissions.
3. Your messages hop from phone to phone, encrypted, and only event participants can read them.

If you lose your connection, the app offers to turn it on. When someone gets signal back, pending messages are uploaded to the chat. Your friends must have Festival Mode active too.

Limitations: messages may be delayed or not arrive, it uses more battery and it works best with the app open. It's available on Android and iOS; on iOS it has more limitations.

Safety

You should verify your account with a selfie and an ID document to improve your experience. But if the event does not require attendees to be verified, unverified people can join.

PoolUP does not sell tickets. We are a way for you to buy them from the official ticketing site: from the app we send you to its website so you can buy there.
